The Making of Arctic

Making this time-lapse has been one of my highlights these past few days. Since a lot has been asking me to create more videos of my process work, I decided to go ahead and make another one.

While I don’t really have the time to do so, I took an opportunity this week. When I was about to begin with a fresh commission work, I spontaneously thought of filming it. Because, why the hell not?

Being caught up with workload, I’m not really one to put myself through the trouble of doing so. Not to mention, how difficult it is to focus on the task at hand when you worry about a tripod and a camera being in the way of your work. But I decided to take things up a notch and challenge myself. In the end, I managed through two days of shooting and a day of editing. It was absolutely time-consuming. Still, the result was worth it.

I actually found myself enjoying the whole process and it was quite entertaining to capture myself on film! I hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes look, as much as I did making it! Would you like to see more of these? Let me know what you think!

BEHIND-THE-SCENES: THE MAKING OF ‘ARCTIC’

Arctic was inspired by the on-going seal hunting in countries like Iceland.
The geometric lines represent a notion of overstepping boundaries
when it comes to animal hunting and how this is slowly depleting the species’ population.
